Apple has started enforcing new age-verification requirements for App Store users in Texas following the implementation of SB 2420. New Apple Account applicants in the state must provide age-related information, while users under 18 require parental approval for app downloads, in-app purchases, and certain app changes. The company has also introduced new APIs, notifications, and developer tools to support compliance. Apple continues to oppose such laws, arguing that age-verification requirements could require companies to collect additional personal information from users.
